Everyone knows the feeling of seeing a cool person out in public and wanting to be their friend. By receiving an invitation card, that means someone in Cool Strangers Club felt that way about you!
Cool Strangers Club is an invite-only community of people who used to be just that, strangers. But through fun, unique and curated gatherings, we have built a vibrant community of amazing people from around the city who now consider each other friends.
When you sign up, you give us the ability to invite you to events. Each of these experiences has its own curated group of attendees and an activity designed specifically to bring you all together.
Step 1: Registration Once you have received an invitation, register for Cool Strangers Club using the link below. The registration form will ask you questions about yourself just so we can get to know you. Don't feel the need to impress anyone here, by receiving a card you are already in.
Step 2: Matching with an event Based on your responses to the registration form, we'll match you with an event that we think fits you! You'll enjoy a unique activity and meet a group of “Cool Strangers” curated specifically to spark interesting conversations and new friendships!
Step 3: Attend Matching with an event may take some time, but that's part of the excitement! Once matched, you'll receive an email with event details and bios of the other "Cool Strangers" invited. Simply RSVP and join the fun!
Step 4: Join the community! At the end of the day, Cool Strangers Club is all about building friendships. As you attend more and more events, you will become more integrated with this amazing community of people from all over the city.
Costs: Membership is completely FREE. Most events are free to attendas well, but some may have a small fee associated just to cover costs. Point is, you will never have to spend money to be a part of this community

I feel a little awkward talking about myself here, but I think it’s an important way to reassure people who were just invited to this by a complete stranger, that Cool Strangers Club is a community run by real, normal people.
For some background, I grew up in Austin and have a professional/academic background in event production, experience design, and strategic futurism. Cool Strangers Club is a passion project where I get to combine my love for building fun experiences and bringing people together.
I didn't start this because I think I'm cooler than anyone else. I simply wanted to meet more cool people. I know there is no shortage of them here in Austin, but making friends with strangers is really hard. I felt that hosting cool events and building this community would make that process easier.
Always show up with intention You will get out of these experiences what you put in. If you are not in a place to show up fully to an event, just wait until the next one.
Don't be a dick You don't have to agree with everyone you meet here. But you are required to be nice to them.
Don't be creepy There is zero tolerance for making people uncomfortable.
Always look to include people The person you know the least about, is usually the person you should go talk to next.
